It is important that during the Covid 19 pandemic as we take up our social isolating and cocooning behaviours that we maintain a healthy routine. A routine assists us to focus on what we can do rather than what we cannot do and it helps us to stay physically and psychologically healthy. A good routine should have a few key components to it. It should have a time to get up in the morning and a time to go to bed. It must include 3 healthy meals- breakfast, lunch and dinner. It is important to include exercise, contact time to connect up with others over the phone or through social media and a range of activities to keep the mind stimulated such as reading, doing puzzles, taking on a project or tiding a room in the house. it is important that we keep our mind stimulated and that we focus on things that keep us psychologically and emotionally well during a challenging time. So take some time to write a routine down and put it into practice.
